For the first time in a decade, Google has changed its logo! The familiar 'G' symbol has a new appearance with altered colors. The new design is a seamless blend of colors, with red flowing into yellow, yellow into green, and green into blue, rather than being divided into four distinct hues. The icon appears even more vivid and colorful as a result. Following a recent update, the Google Search app for iOS already has this updated icon. On Monday, the most recent version of the Google app was also made available to Android users.
Google last updated its icon on September 1, 2015, when it adopted Product Sans, a contemporary font. The round logo that we have grown accustomed to over the last ten years replaced the lowercase white letter "G" on a blue background. It's unclear if any other product logos will be updated, and the primary Google logo appears to have remained unchanged this time.
In the meantime, a report from Android Authority claims that Google is preparing to redesign Android 16. The update will redesign the Quick Settings panel, the menu that appears when you swipe down from the top of your screen. This panel will be more user-friendly thanks to its adjustable tiles and blurred background. It will also feature new buttons that let you turn on and off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with a single tap.
Additionally, there will be additional customization options and a stylish new design for the brightness slider, which can be used to change the brightness of the screen. Additionally, updates are being made to the status bar's icons, which display notifications and system alerts. For instance, the icons for mobile data and Wi-Fi will be kept apart, and the 5G and airplane mode symbols will have bolder designs to make them stand out more. The battery icon is configured to become more dynamic, turning red when the battery is low and green when your phone is charging.
