1. Morning, Again

I don’t wake up early

because the sky blushes,

or because like it’s falling in love with the day.

I wake up

for the grind.

2. Grocery Store Reverie

A stranger smiled at me

in aisle nine.

I didn’t need much,

but I left with full hands -

and a little more hope.

3. Old Hoodie

Still smells like last winter.

Still has the hole in the sleeve.

Still feels like home

on days I don’t.

4. The Quiet Win

No one clapped

when I drank water

instead of spiraling,

but I did.

I’m learning to be my own applause.

5. Text Unsent

I typed “I miss you”

then deleted it.

Some truths

are just for me -

and that’s enough tonight.
