Sports, drama, emotion, discrimination and an underdog.. you must have now got the plot. The greatest game ever played is based on a true story which actually took place in the 1900's when most sports were for the gentlemen. This is yet again an underdog story where a 20 year old kid named Francis Ouimet (Shia LaBeouf) who lives besides the golf course in Brookline, Massachusetts who has been a golf caddie since his childhood.
It is here where he picks up the game and goes on to win the US Open Golf Championship tournament as an armature beating Harry Vardon who's a three time English Golf Champ. The Characterization is simply flawless and the background score is simply amazing. The parts played by the kids Francis Ouimet and his caddie Eddie Lowery are definitely worth an Oscar. The fact that this movie is based on a true story makes it even more enthralling. I just loved this one. It been a long time that I have come across such a movie. Its a must watch for everyone.
